RIP Mr. Biggs

Youtube description:
19-year-old Florida resident Abraham K. Biggs, who went by the screen names "CandyJunkie" and Mr Biggs, told users on a bodybuilding forum he would be committing suicide that night and invited them to watch the live video.

RIP to this kid and my condolences to his family. He had some depression issues and OD'd on anti depressant pills. I am weirded out that he publically announced his suicidal plans on a bodybuilding forum. He actually carried it out too. The mods on that forum are gonna be banned most likely.

Say you were on that site and reading through the forums and stumbled upon that post. What would you do? You are reading his words of anguish and pain and depression. Most people love the mask of anonymity because of the internet and tell him "DO IT FTW!1!1 ZOMG!" stuff like that. Now look at this kid. Dead.

I never really took those internet PSAs seriously about "Cyber bullying is still bullying." until now. There are a lot of twisted people in this world. I'm not necessarily talking about Mr. Abraham K. Biggs. According to the video people were egging him on and he had over 1000 viewers just watching him. At first people took it as a joke. I dont think that this should have been taken as a joke in the first place. Could someone have prevented this? Maybe, maybe not.

The internet really is an interesting place. It does have a dark side to it though. You can do anything on it. Even broadcast your own suicide. I think I'll stick to blogging.

"I'm Training to Become a Cage Fighter"

I don't see myself as a violent person and do not condone fighting at all. At first glance, some people do. It's mostly mothers, and small children. I am usually the guy who would break it up. But MMA is fucking awesome. Who wouldn't wanna beat the crap out of somebody?, LEGALLY for a living. Everybody holds in the back of their minds someone that they would love to just fight. Present or past, just imagine someone you'd want to fight. Think of that person yet? Good, now put them in an octagon. The 8 sided fenced cage that will only let you out if you knock them out, or make them tap out.

It's not only watching 2 barbaric men and/or women, yes women fight MMA(mixed martial arts) too in a cage beating each other to a pulp. It's quite civilized. Sounds like a contradictory statement, I know but these fighters have lives outside of fighting. They have families, jobs, but this is just a passion to them. It's a great way to stay in shape, out of stress, and to pay the bills.

Kevin Ferguson aka Kimbo Slice, is possibly the most popular MMA fighter it's had in its history. He started out street fighting on youtube and he's gotten numerous hits for his videos. They brought much buzz to the MMA community and said that he was going to be the next big thing. It all started from posting backyard brawls on youtube.

The main event tonight is Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar. Couture has been one of the most dominant heavyweights in MMA history and most experienced fighters. On the downside, he is getting very, very old. Lesnar on the other hand is a fucking man beast ultimate specimen. Many people know Lesnar from his WWE days, but he still can't shed the day as a "FAKE" wrestler. He is trying to bring himself back up to the glory days. Lesnar is the 2000 NCAA Wrestling Champion, and hes been pretty good so far in his MMA career.

I think Couture vs. Lesnar will be a record breaking pay-per view fight, but personally, I'm putting my money on Couture strictly because of experience. Lesnar is a dominating physical force, but he hasnt' fought someone as good as Couture. The only way I would say that Lesnar would win is if he F5s* Couture's old ass and he shatters into dust. That probably won't happen but just in case I said it first.

*The F5 was Lesnar's signature move that made him famous.

"Lil Waynes kinda smart"

You may know him by several different names :Birdman Jr., Weezy F. Baby, Wizzle, Mr. Carter, T- Wayne; all which refer to the same person. Lil Wayne, Weezy F. Baby is the best rapper alive.

As the Young Turks after reading Lollipop say, "Lil Waynes kinda smart." Of course Weezy is kinda smart. Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. is a fucking genius. If you say otherwise fuck you. Big ups to the Young Turks doing their thing as DJs, but for them not knowing about Lil Wayne's genius before hand=2 thumbs down.

True to his music, he stays representing New Orleans, and was raised in Hollygrove. He first got heard rapping at parties when he was 9 and He was only 12 when he got signed to Cash Money Millionaires. He pretty much dropped out of school at 12. Real smart move Dwayne. You're only 12 and you already feel that you don't need an education. What would your parents say?

His father actually is the one who signed him. If you didn't know Baby from Cash Money Millionaires is his adoptive father. When Wayne was younger, he shot himself in the chest with his real dad's unregistered handgun and almost bled to death. Lil Wayne's dad went to prison and then was killed after he got out. Baby then adopted Wayne because he saw his potential as a rapper and raised him around music. He later did get his GED and is actually enrolled at the University of Houston.

Right now The Carter III; his latest album has sold over a million copies and has his own record label: Young Money Entertainment. Can you believe he did this all before he got a college degree?

Im not saying that if someone drops out of school at 12 they wont be successful. I'm saying that he found something that he loved to do and stuck to it. Lil Wayne is the epitome of following a dream. Whether you like his music or not he's probably going to be more successful and have more fun doing it than I ever will.

What the hell am I doing wrong? I think I'm going to just chill and listen to his music. Hopefully then inspiration will strike.

"I don't care about what was, I'm talking about what is."

First hand account in Philadelphia.

Then later this story was covered by FOX News.

This is just ridiculous. When someone stands outside of a polling place with an object that can be used to really hurt another person, I really would not want to go there. Or at least not piss him off. The guy with the nightstick said that he was "security" to make sure that nothing happened at the polling place. Voter intimidation sucks and it's nothing new. It's almost like they took a play out of the Republican playbook when the police blockades were set up in Florida.

In the 2000 Bush-Gore election, police blockades were set up in some polling places more than 2 miles out. People would turn around or just simply not vote because it was a police checkpoint asking for people's information. There were also last minute polling station changes. The instructions were too complicated and many people had gotten lost. We can take it back further and look at the country's history as a whole. Black codes anyone? Maybe we can introduce a poll tax or even a literacy test in the next election. I don't know about you but, I'd be more comfortable if the police blockaded my polling station. It's not like I have anything to do except to vote for the next leader of the country that I live in.

This isn't a post to bash ignorant people, Democrats, Republicans, or the Black Panther Party. Ever since this election has chosen an African American man as the Pres. Elect, everyone's true colors are being shown. It's easy to see people's opinions on either how happy or how angry they are. One great example is as easy as logging onto the popular website Facebook. If you don't have a facebook, then go get one and make some friends. Just read your friend's statuses, better yet read your own. It really surprised me but, that's the beauty of America in how we are free to say what we want to say. If you don't like it, please leave and go to Canada, Mexico, or any bordering countries of your choice. You can come back in 4-8 years if you want to.

At least DeAngelo Hall got paid and left the Raiders. Al Davis is running his team to shit.

*EDIT* I LEARNED HOW TO PUT VIDEOS UP!

Redskins Love O-Ba-Ma

The Washington Redskins are now 8-0. Now I'm not talking about NFL, I am talking about the Redskin's "influence" they have over the past elections. Sportscenter had a very interesting statistic that for the past 7 elections; if the Redskins had won then, the party in power for the presidency would win. If they lost, then the incumbent party would take over.

On a more serious note, about that loss....23-6, Washington led with a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, had a very promising first quarter by absolutely dominating the Steelers. The Steelers then began a slow comeback, when all of a sudden there was news of Big Ben had gone down at halftime with an injury. All was good. Then Byron Leftwich came in. Although he is a second string QB, He was for a while a very promising starting QB for the Jags. Good pickup Steelers. Washington had 23 unanswered points since their first 6 the entire game.

Washington's poor performance in the second half now makes sense. They wanted change that bad, they were willing to lose this game to the Steelers and in an entertaining fashion. I'll be the first to admit that I did not vote for Obama. I actually didn't vote at all in this election. No, I don't believe in political efficacy but, I'm a registered voter who didn't apply for an absentee ballot. Shutup, Obama won in the end. He actually swept, having more than twice as many electoral votes than McCain. I can't believe I actually bought into the "This is going to be a tight race". You did too probably. If anything I think that Mike Tomlin and the Steelers are Democrats.

On a lighter note, anybody catch Heidi Klum in the Guitar Hero: World Tour commercial?

Enough said.

DAUNTES BACK!

Who knew that this guy would make a comeback? He retired in the same freaking season and now hes coming back because he loves the game too much. Looks like Daunte needs to pay some bills. Then again he is his own agent. Other notable athletes who don't have agents that come to mind are: Gilbert Arenas of the Wizards. The only difference is that Daunte probably cant afford to hire one. Who else thought this guy was bluffing when the Chiefs wanted to sign him before the Lions? He had to use that "there's a better offer standing and unless you pay me more, it's a no go". I don't blame you Daunte, even the Chief's quarterbacks don't want to quarterback for them. So asking for more money isn't that much of a bad move.

I guess it's kind of hard to say for a quarterback to make it back to the form he had in his glory days. Statistically his best season was when he was with the Vikings in 2004 with a pass rating of 110.9. 7-step drops and bombs to Moss were just filling the highlight reels. He could run the ball too with a career average of 5.2 ypc. His performance with the last 2 teams that he was with were subpar. It seemed that he couldn't get a break with a good team. Now, he feels that the Lions are the best fit for him. I do too seeing that the Lions have the receiver with the most upside in coming years; Calvin Johnson. Maybe a Culpeper to Johnson connection is what both of them need to post up big numbers and win some games. Remember in Madden when throwing long bombs to Moss with Daunte was the only way to win? Maybe the 0-8 Lions can take a page out of that playbook and use it to win their first game.

Red Raiders Rule

So this past weekend, lot of crazy things happened in sports. First up in NCAA football, Michael Crabtree pooped on Texas’ defense in the last second of the game. This sadly was the game winner and the reason why the rankings are messed up. The showdown of Texas (1) vs. Texas Tech (6) was widely advertised as the game to watch this weekend. It seemed almost every expert had picked Texas to stay on top. These teams are both very good teams, don’t get me wrong. They’re very similar in many aspects. Both teams have gunslingers of quarterbacks and both led their teams to their highschool state championships but, Tech’s Harrell won their state championship, and Mccoy only got them there. Before the game, my prediction on the only thing that would win the game for the Longhorns would be their defense. Turns out that the Longhorn’s defense is what made them lose. This victory is the biggest ever in Texas Tech's history. I believe the Red Raiders were 0-8 against a number 1 team. So Crabtree, Harrell, and the rest of the Red Raiders, we salute you.

First Post

My first blog post. My older sister gave me the idea, thanks Elaine. To tell you a little about myself; I'm a college freshman. Usually the typical college student would be out partying right now. Halloween night ended up being too much for me, so I decided to do something semi-productive and create a blog.
